Have you ever wondered what type of cardio will get you the best results in the least amount of time? Well, join the club. Lucky for all of us, we have our in-house fitness expert, Tami Tyson, to answer this (calorie) burning question and more!
What type of cardio is the best?
The answer is simpler than you might think! According to our in-house expert, any cardio is the best cardio, so long as you’re doing it at the right intensity.
What is the “right intensity”?
One super simple tip anyone can use to measure the intensity of a workout, is whether or not you can talk while you work out. If you can carry on conversation while you work out, your cardio is most likely moderate. If you can’t speak at all, because you’re too busy gasping for air and catching your breath, your workout is most likely too intense. Achieving the right workout for you, is all about modifying your exercise to suit your personal skill level.
How do I get the most out of my cardio?
First and foremost, you want to ensure you are always observing good form. No matter what kind of workout you’re engaging in, there’s a right and wrong way to do it, and this can mean the difference between a safe, enjoyable, and effective workout, and getting injured or burning out. Tyson’s final piece of advice for best results: “Do something you love, and be consistent.”
