Q: What are the benefits of artificial grass?

A: The benefits of artificial grass are numerous. First and foremost, it’s very eco-friendly. By using artificial grass, you will save approximately 2.8 million gallons of water over the course of the lifespan of artificial grass, because of the water reduction. It’s also allergy free, you’ll save a ton of time on yard work, and you’ll have a lot more time to simply enjoy your lawn, rather than slaving over it.

Q: How long will artificial grass last?

A: Artificial grass should last the client 15 to 20 years, if it’s a premium turf. FG Artificial Lawns only carries premium turf, which is made in-house. With the purchase of Aviva Artificial Turf, clients are offered a ten-year unlimited warranty, and if client choose to have it installed by FG Artificial Lawns, they will receive an additional three year warranty for installation.  

Q: Is artificial grass safe for kids and pets?

A: Artificial grass is safe for both kids and pets. Kids can play on the grass and won’t get grass stains, dogs can play on it without damaging the grass, and it’s also allergy free.

Q: How easy is artificial grass to install as a DIY project?

A: Many people want to install artificial grass on their own and it’s quite easy to install. It’s not rocket science, but it is fairly labor intensive. First, you have to remove your natural ground cover, and you have to take your soil down to about six inches. Then you replace that soil with a construction sand, which you tamper in, then you can adhere your artificial grass to the ground with galvanized nails.
