5 Bathroom Trends for 2016
New year, new bathroom? Check out these five trends in bathroom decor for 2016:
- Wood. Of course, the wood you choose must be specifically designed for a humid bathroom setting, but the look of wood is what’s hot in 2016. New products like tile that looks like wood are allowing even more flexibility. Try using wood in unexpected ways, like the walls and the sink.
- Concrete. Industrial chic anyone? Concrete walls and floors can be offset nicely by textured mats and ambient lighting to avoid a look that is too severe.
- Unusual and unconventional tile patterns. Say goodbye to boring beige and white tiles. Instead, try different shapes, create odd angles, and experiment with colours. Or try oversized tiles for a funky, modern vibe.
- Stone and rock accents. Along the same vein as wood, using natural elements in your bathroom can give it a zen spa feel.
- Metallic accents. Reflect light and give your bathroom a modern, industrial feel. Metals with matte, satin, stainless steel or brass finishes will be especially popular this year.
