DIY Upcycled Accessories

Upcycle: An Old Belt
What you’ll need: an old belt, Krylon ColorMaster in Sweet Cream, rhinestones, hot glue gun, hot glue sticks
How to: Belts tend to get a lot of wear and tear, and after a while, they begin to look a little worse for wear. To upcycle an old worn out or discolored belt, simply paint the body of the belt with Krylon paint and refurnish the buckle with rhinestones from the craft store.
Upcycle: A Plain Headband
What you’ll need: a plain tortoiseshell headband, Krylon ColorMaster White, rhinestones
How to: To rev up the impact of a plain plastic headband, simply paint the headband using the Krylon paint. Once the paint has dried fully, you can embellish it with rhinestones from the craft store.
Upcycle: A Boring Bracelet
What you’ll need: a bracelet, Krylon ColorMaster Metallic, sealing coat, rhinestones
How to: To upcycle a boring and inexpensive bracelet, consider painting it with Krylon paint in a metallic hue. To mitigate the risk of that paint coming off or causing any sort of allergic reaction to your skin, follow up with a clear, sealing coat. Once the paint and sealing coat have dried fully, you can embellish the bracelet with rhinestones from the craft store.
