Peach & Goat Cheese Crostini Recipe
If your table is lacking a quick and east appetizer, look no further than The Marc and Mandy Show. In this segment, Mandy shows Marc how to prepare a delicious and simple appetizer featuring peaches and goat cheese.
What you’ll need: loaf of french bread, butter, goat cheese, basil, prosciutto, peaches, honey, balsamic vinegar
Step 1: Prep Your Bread
Start off by slicing your loaf of french bread. Make sure to slice at an angle, and butter both sides. Then, toast the buttered slices in the oven for a few minutes.
Step 2: Butter With Goat Cheese
Once they’ve crisped up in the oven, you can plate the crostinis, and spread a layer of goat cheese to each one. TIP If you don’t have or don’t like goat cheese, cream cheese is a good replacement.
Step 3: Tear Basil
Next, tear up some fresh basil, and place a piece on each crostini, directly on top of your goat or cream cheese. The basil will give your crostini a savoury taste.
Step 4: Roll Prosciutto
Next, take your slices of prosciutto and roll them. The rolled prosciutto should be about an inch in diameter. Place a roll on top of the basil on each crostini.
Step 3: Slice Peaches
Next, slice up your peaches into wedges, and place a wedge on each crostini. TIP If you can’t get your hands on peaches, nectarines work well as a replacement.
Step 4: Serve & Enjoy
Pair your Peach & Goat Cheese Crostini with white wine, for a truly crowd-pleasing combo.
