Unique, Modern Bedroom Design for a Toddler
Just because you have a toddler running around, doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice style! In this episode of The Marc and Mandy Show, designer Amy McKay gives us a tour of a stunning toddlers bedroom with a modern, but kid-friendly design with a Scandinavian feel.
Key Features Of This Space:
- A bed with very little height or directly on the floor. This feature is fantastic for kids who are transitioning out of their cribs for the very first time. Since the bed is close to the floor, they can get in and out with ease, and parents don’t have to worry about their little one falling out of bed and getting hurt.
- A unique bed frame. The bed frame in this space resembles a little house, and it’s been half-covered with fabric to give the child a little bit of privacy.
- An adjustable LED lamp. Within the little nook created by the house-shaped bed frame, is a small covered lamp, which can be easily adjusted by the toddler
- A super fun statement wall. This statement wall is made up of hundreds and hundreds of little stickers, applied in a gradient pattern. Because the wall does make such an impact, you don’t need any additional art on the walls.
- A chalkboard. A chalkboard is a great idea for a child’s room, because chalk is safe to play with and easy to clean up.
- Fun and colorful drawer pulls. These pulls are a neat little find from Anthropologie. They’re a cute and effective way to dress up an otherwise plain dresser.
- Scandinavian feel. From the all-white walls, to the high contrast textiles, to the clean, simplistic lines, this bedroom is as modern as it is playful and fun.
