DIY: Stool Cover
If you’re a big fan of DIY-ing, you’ve come to the right place! Today on The Marc and Mandy Show, viewers learn how to make a quick, easy, and ultra-fashionable stool cover. Keep reading for our step-by-step instructions.
What you’ll need: stool, paint, brush, foam, material, scissors, marker, sewing machine, thread, staple gun, staples
How to recreate this project:
- Start this project off by cutting out a piece of foam, which will serve as your stool cushion. Ensure you are cutting the foam into the correct size and shape by using your stool to trace a cushion shape directly onto the foam.
- Next, use your stool or cushion cut-out to trace and cut what will be your cushion upholstery. Leave yourself about a half inch of room on each side.
- Next, use your stool and cushion cut-out to decipher and cut the size and depth of the side panels. Leave yourself about an inch of over-depth on each side. There will be four side panels.
- Sew all of the fabric panels together using your sewing machine. At this stage, your creation should be starting to resemble a slip-cover.
- Finally, secure the cushion, cushion cover, and stool together using a staple gun.
