Q: How much does a kitchen renovation cost?
Sharam Forkhondeh:A typical renovation for kitchen will be anywhere between $25,000 and $30,000. This depends on the fixtures, materials, and unforeseen costs, which you will find out after the demolition.
Q: How much money should I set aside, just in case.
Sharam Forkhondeh:Typically, you should set aside 20 to 30 percent. This would be handy contingency fund. Because you never know what you’re going to add down the road into your project.
Q:I’m thinking of changing my sink location. How much would that cost?
Sharam Forkhondeh: If you’re changing the sink location, for instance, across the room, this typically requires a lot of infrastructure and work. So that equates to approximately five percent of total costs.

this is such an informative video, I thought I had budgeted for this amount, but it turns out to be much much more. $25-35k is only aesthetic changes and if you are lucky includes the tear down and labour.
