In this segment of The Marc and Mandy Show, Sandra Nash chat with Don Robertson about smart locks and specialty high-security locks from Emtek.

Sandra Nash: I’m here at Upper Canada Specialty Hardware. We’re going to talk about smart locks and specialty high-security locks. I’m here with Don and he’s an expert on everything in here.

Don Robertson: I really want to just talk about how excited I am about our latest display from Emtek. And one of the things that I think is very exciting and brand-new from Emtek is the smart lock system. So, what Emtek has done is they basically replaced the standard deadbolt on the inside of the house with this electronic smart lock. With this lock, I can open it with my app and I don’t have to get the key out. It’s very convenient. One of the other things that I think is very important is the high-security function that Upper Canada offers with all of their entry set systems. If you look at the big box stores and you compare the difference is night and day. This can’t be broken into. The key cannot be duplicated because it’s a registered key that only we can cut a copy from. Ultimately, you want high security in your home and you want the convenience. This has the key override so you could put this system into this lock and have the high-security system that I think everybody deserves.
