Though it might be tempting to put all of your clutter in your closets, keep in mind that visitors will likely be opening your closets to suss out the storage space. Instead of hiding your clutter in closets, consider renting a storage unit.
Erase odours
Scented candles and room spray are the easiest ways to kill odours. That said, opt for scents that are mild and on the neutral side and stay away from anything too perfumey.
Provide music
A quiet house can feel awkward and unwelcoming. Playing music quietly in the background can create a warm and welcoming environment for your guests.
Go digital
If you’re apprehensive about having strangers in your home, consider your virtual options. There are plenty of ways to host a virtual open house in this day and age, including but not limited to live streaming through social media.
