Q: What are some advantages to having a modular second floor built into my house?
Dusko Lazic: There are a lot of advantages. One of the biggest ones is that the additions are built in an enclosed environment, in a shop, so they are not exposed to rain and other elements. The addition can also be done much faster than a regular house, because everything is done inside, and we are not depending on good weather. Another thing is you don’t have to inconvenience your neighbours with the noise and mess associated with construction, because everything is built off site.
Q: How long does it take for a modular addition to be installed?
DL: It all depends. It depends on the amount of work that is required to done. A second storey addition could take less time, but I would estimate about four to five months, before the work is completed and everybody can be back in the house.
