Q: Is the Ideal Protein Weight Loss Protocol a diet or a lifestyle?
Kevin Ronak: Ideal Protein is definitely a lifestyle and a way to lose the weight that you want to lose. From there forward, you’re going to have to change your habits or else you’re going to go right back to where you were before. It’s always a lifestyle change. The hope is, when you come up with new food items and new food programs and new things that you love and your family loves, you’re going to continue those for the rest of your life, which will keep you where you want to be.
Q: Why is the gym great for stress relief but not ideal for weight loss?
Kevin Ronak: The gym is a fantastic place to go everyday when you’ve had a stressful day at work and you need to blow off steam and you need to get fit. You just want to do those active lifestyle things. So I’m never going to tell anyone not to go to the gym. The problem is is we are always in an insulin high state, which is always making your body is store mode, so if you go to the gym after you have a piece of toast, a yogurt, an apple for breakfast, because you’re in a high insulin state, you actually don’t even have access to your fat stores, so it’s going to make it really difficult for you to lose weight at the gym.
