Bad Pizza Combos
In this episode of The Marc and Mandy Show, Marc and Mandy chat about toppings that make bad pizza combos. To hear what Marc and Mandy have to say on the matter, check out the video above. For some tips on creating the perfect pizza every time, keep reading.
Room Temperature Dough
Never use cold dough to create your pizza. Remove it from the fridge a half hour to an hour before cooking so it can warm to room temperature. This will help relax the gluten and make it easier to work with your dough.
To Sauce Or Not To Sauce
If you’re using sauce, add only a thin layer. Too thick of a layer could result in your dough getting soggy. That said, not all pizzas need sauce. If you would like to make what is called a “white pizza,” you can use olive oil over your dough before placing your toppings.
Prep Your Toppings
Depending on what kinds of toppings you would like to include on your pizza, you’ll have to first prepare them. For instance, sausage needs to be pre-cooked and cooled before being added to your pizza. Many vegetables also need to be pre-cooked in order to soften.
Preheat Your Oven
Before sliding your pizza into the oven, first make sure your oven is hot. If you’re using a standard oven, you want to get it up to 550 degrees Fahrenheit.
