Bad Text Messages
In this segment of The Marc and Mandy Show, Marc and Mandy discuss what not to message over text message. Check out the video above to hear what they have to say or keep reading for some tips on text etiquette.
Be mindful of where you’re texting
As a general rule of thumb, you should avoid texting at the movies, a play, or a concert. The screen light can be annoying to others and can ruin someone else’s experience. You should also avoid texting while in conversation with someone else.
Never text and drive
Texting while driving is not only dangerous for yourself, but can be dangerous to others. If you need to send a message while driving, have someone else in the car send the message for you. Otherwise, wait until you have stopped the car.
Know when to call instead
While texting can be convenient and a preferred method of communication for many, there are some instances where texting is not exactly appropriate. For example, if you’re delivering sad or important news. In that case, it is better to delivery news by phone or in person, if possible.
