Q: What are the benefits of using a PVC deck board rather than wood?
A: The main benefit would be the lack of maintenance needed for the PVC. Once the PVC deck is installed, all it should require is surface cleaning to upkeep the look of the deck. With the wood deck, in addition to keeping it clean, you always have to worry about splitting, cracking, and warping. Wood also requires staining and sealing, which is not necessary with PVC.
Q: Are fibreglass pools better than vinyl?
A: The main benefit with fibreglass pools is that they’re easy to install. Fibreglass pools also come with a range of built-in features that vinyl pools do not have. Features include hot tubs, built-in steps, benches, and splash-pads. Maintenance-wise, fibreglass pools require less upkeep than vinyl, as they are manufactured with a gel coat which is less porous, so algae build-up won’t be a problem.
