Clean, Quality Cabin Water
No matter where you are, whether you’re at home or on vacation, clean water is an absolute must. On this episode of The Marc and Mandy Show, Marc talks with John Meekings about how to have clean water at your cabin. Keep reading to learn more.
Set up on-site water
If you’re at an off-grid cabin, you’ll need to set up an on-site water source. If your cottage is in an area that gets cold weather, you can store your water tank underground or inside a building that stays warm.
Insulate your water pipe
To safeguard your water pipe further, you’ll want to take some steps to insulate it. This is especially important if your water pipe is stored downstairs. Pipe-wrap is simple to install and recommended for insulating small lengths of pipe.
Use a freshwater source
If you have a freshwater source nearby, such as a stream, you can collect and use water to use at your cabin. That said, the stream water is probably not clean enough to drink directly, so you’ll want to invest in a filtration system.
Use rainwater
in some locations, rainwater can be enough to meet all your water needs. You can capture rainwater using a large surface on your roof that drains into a tank of some sort.
