Simply, Kid-friendly DIY Ghost Decoration
If you’re looking for a kid-friendly way to get your home in the Halloween spirit, look no further than this festive DIY! The best part about this spooky craft? It doesn’t require those notorious accident- and mess-causing materials, such as scissors and hot glue.
What you’ll need:
- An empty water bottle
- A Styrofoam ball
- Cheesecloth
- Spray starch
- Googly eyes, felt cutouts, a mini witch’s hat etc.
Instructions:
Step 1: Remove the lid from your water bottle and balance your Styrofoam ball on the open end of the bottle.
Step 2: Gently drape your cheesecloth over top of the Styrofoam ball and water bottle combination. You should now be able to see some semblance of a ghostly figure before you.
Step 3: Mist your ghostly figure with spray starch, the purpose of which is to adhere your materials together.
Step 4: Personalize your ghost as you see fit, and use glue to fasten anything from googly eyes to felt cutouts to a mini witch’s hat onto your creation.
Step 5: Remove the water bottle and attach a ribbon or twine to the top of your ghost so that you can hang your spooky friend on your porch, in your window, or anywhere in your home that could use some Halloween charm.
