DIY: Nice Cubes
If you can appreciate beautiful details, this segment of the show features a creative way to detail your stemware. Today on The Marc and Mandy Show, Event Planner Rick Mayhew of Decorations By Rick shares great ideas for ‘nice cubes’ to put in drinks for your next dinner party.
What you’ll need: a fun ice cube tray (any shapes of your choosing), fruit punch or juice, fruit slices,
DIY: Punch or Juice
Rick’s first creative ice cube idea is actually quite simple. If you are making punch or any type of juice drink for a party, consider making a little extra and using it to fill your ice cube trays. This idea is perfect for warm days, when the ice cubes are bound to melt quickly. With this method, your ice cubes won’t dilute your drinks.
DIY: Fruit Slices
If you’re not planning on serving a beverage that is feasible to freeze, another cute idea is to slice up some brightly colored fruit, such as strawberries or lemons, and freezing them within an ice cube. The fruit will add a splash of flavoring and a dash of color to your drinks.
DIY: Herbs and Flowers
If you like the visual effect of fruit suspended in an ice cube, you love this final DIY, which calls for a sprig of mint or a single rose petal. Freezing herbs or flowers within your ice cubes is a creative and classy way to dress up your beverages at your next party.

I love this! I already use “punch” to create ice cubes and frozen fruit, but love the idea of edible flower petals especially roses.
Impressive looking ideas for cubes I will have to use at my next Dinner party.
A nice idea to add some punch to your cocktails!
Oh gosh – those are so cute!
Great idea!! Fun way to “dress up” the punch bowl.
