DIY: Rose Petal Ice Cubes
On today’s episode of The Marc and Mandy Show, Julia Scoubac from FortePiano Vancouver Floral Art Gallery shows how to create rose petal ice cubes for special wedding drinks. Keep reading for the step-by-step instructions.
What you’ll need: stem of roses, ice cube tray, scissors, water
Step 1: Cut
The first step in this DIY project is to cut the blooms of the roses and leaves off of the stem. Once you have liberated all the blooms and leaves from the stem, cut each bloom in half.
Step 2: Distribute
Next, distribute the leaves and petal piece into ice cube trays. It is okay if some of the petals and leaves are sticking out of the tray.
Step 3: Water
Now, pour water into the ice cube tray. Make sure you are pouring enough water to completely fill the ice cube tray.
Step 4: Freeze
Finally, pop your creation into the freezer for at least 24 hours. Once the cubes have frozen completely, pop one in a glass of champagne and enjoy!
