Q: When’s the best time to purchase a home?
Judy Marsales: A good time to purchase your home depends on your perspective; whether you want maximum availability of homes on the market or whether you want the best opportunity tom negotiate the best price for the home you decide on. Jordan, what do you think?
Jordan Zalter: Really there is no bad time to buy a home. Like Judy mentioned, it really depends on whether you’re most after getting a deal or maybe you’re concerned with the limited inventory and are looking for a bit more options. Real estate is very seasonal and depending on what your primary motives are, it helps to decide when the best time to buy or sell is.
Q: When selling my home, what can I do to make it more appealing?
Judy Marsales: Well, to make a home more appealing, we always suggest that the best thing you can do for your home is to super clean it and to declutter it. Because at the end of the day, everybody has a different idea of how they want to live, but everybody likes to walk through a home and feel comfortable. So, Jordan, there are a lot of different styles for homes right now; what do you see?
Jordan Zalter: Well, I think two of the easiest things you can do, outside of what Judy mentioned, is if you do have the ability to paint your home, whether you’re opting for a professional or are more of a do-it-yourself-er, is going with neutral colors throughout the home. This is certainly something that helps showcase some of the nice features that your home already has. Also, another thing that is often overlooked is putting grunt-work into your outside landscaping. This is certainly something that helps improve that first impression.
