Expert Q&A with Chinook Landscaping
Do you have some burning landscape questions you want answered? Well, stay tuned for the video above because today on The Marc and Mandy Show: Q & A With A Pro, award-winning landscaper, David Abbott from Chinook Landscaping answers how to make your landscaping look it’s best.
Q: How can I keep water from pooling near my walkway?
David Abbott: A good way to divert water away from your walkway is by using a simple arbour. An arbour is a wood structure that straddles the walkway and it avoids water draining onto your walkway. How this works: we run a drain pipe down the arbour, over top of the arbour, and down the other side, and that way you divert water away from your walkway.
Q: How can I improve the curb appeal of my home?
DA: Defining your borders is the best way to improve the curb appeal of your property. And defining your borders simply means cleaning up those edges around your garden beds. You can do this using a spade, but this has to be done annually. It’s far better to install mowing pavers, stack stone, or even a vinyl edge.
