Expert Tips for Selecting Flooring

In this episode of The Marc and Mandy Show: Love Your Home, Evelyn Janz of Curtis Carpets shares tips to help you select the best flooring for your home.

Q: What type of flooring would you recommend for people who have kids or pets?

Evelyn Janz: We would recommend you opt for an easy maintenance floor, such as laminate or vinyl plank. We also will ask about your budget. There’s flooring types within each category of flooring type—good, better, best—to accommodate all types of budgets 

Q: Would advise do you have for customers who want to follow flooring trends?

Evelyn Janz: Trends are always changing, so what I would recommend is to pick something with a more of a plainer pattern. In other words, something not so bold, such as neutral colors. As soon as you get into trendy colors, such as specific blue tones or pink tones, your flooring will date very easily. You’ll be able to pinpoint exactly when you did the renovation. So, I would recommend to stick with something a little more neutral. And you can always choose if you like the bold fun patterns. You can always choose to do that in a laundry room or a powder room instead of your whole kitchen or your whole dining room.
