Floral Trends for Home
On this episode of The Marc and Mandy Show, Marc asks Kim Edwards from Panda Flowers about floral trends for home.
Marc: Hey guys, I’m so excited because we are here with Kim from Panda Flowers talking to us about all the floral trends that we need to know. So, what is the number one trend that we should be looking for when picking out flowers?
Kim: Right now, the number one trend that we see is people like to buy what’s called an eucalyptus bunch or a bundle. So, I’ve got one here and this particular bunch is put together with three different types of eucalyptus. So, we have dollar eucalyptus seeded eucalyptus and baby eucalyptus. So, the idea is you take your bunch and I just have an elastic around the bottom then you can hang it in your shower. You can use twine or whatever. You need to hang it in the shower and the steam from your shower will release the aroma from the petals on the eucalyptus and your whole shower will be like a home spa experience.
Marc: Oh my gosh, that sounds amazing. It’s therapeutic and it’s pretty. So what else is trendy in flowers nowadays?
Kim: What we’re seeing especially in weddings and things is back to the greens. We just use the pops of green and everything is so fresh and we’re seeing that trend now go into actual table arrangements and general flower arrangements. So, it really is a great trend. And as a florist there’s nothing better than putting lots of textures in an arrangement.
Marc: And Kim, our anniversary is coming up, what is a go-to flower to bring a special lady?
Kim: Well, we like to tell our guys that come in with those questions, would be what’s her favorite flower? For the extra brownie points, what I like to suggest is find a picture of her bridal bouquet and let your florist recreate that bouquet.
