Beware of Moisture Buildup
Though it’s inevitable that your bathroom is going to become humid after a hot shower, it’s up to you to mitigate at least some of that humidity in order to prevent mold and mildew buildup. Some preventative steps you can take are making sure you have the fan or a window open, and using a squeegee to wipe down the walls, tub, and shower doors. After you’re done your shower, make sure to leave your door or curtain open. One more thing you can do is coat your shower walls and doors with a water repellant.
Install Towel Bars
Depending on how many people are using one bathroom, you might want to install extra towel bars or even a towel warmer. This will help for your towels to dry faster, preventing mildew buildup.
Clean Your Shower Curtain
When doing a clean of your bathroom, never forgo the curtain. When not cleaned regularly, shower curtains can accumulate scum, which can be smelly and gross. To prevent scum between cleanings, simply rinse your curtain off every time you take a shower.
