Importance of Humectants with Curly Hair
If you have naturally curly hair, it’s important to make sure it’s nourished and hydrated. In this episode of The Marc and Mandy Show: Beauty and Style, Kim Dykstra of Coco’s Hair and Beauty Bar shares why humectants is important for curly hair.
Kim Dykstra: Humectants are natural or man-made things that attract water. They can either attract water into the air or they can attract water to your hair. So, curly products should have humectants in them. A good humectant can be glycerin, honey, or shea butter. Those are some of our main ones. We do also have pea protein that is a humectant and a protein at the same time. All of our products have humectants in them to draw moisture to your hair so it can keep it curling.
