Whether your wallet has been stolen or you have simply misplaced it, losing something important like your driver’s license can be frustrating, to say the least. Here’s what to do if you find yourself in this situation.
Report it. It’s in your best interest to report a stolen license
Consider reporting it to the police as soon as it happens to prevent someone from using your identity.
Visit your local government services office. You most likely will have to replace your license in person. Find out whether you can do it online or will have to do it in person by calling your local government services office or visiting their website. In any event, you’ll likely need two pieces of ID.
Fill out any necessary documentation and pay a fee. Nothing in life is free, and that extends to include replacing your lost or stolen driver’s license.
