Organized Entranceway
Your foyer or entranceway is one of the first impressions of your home. As such, you want to make sure it’s well designed, clean, and organized. In this episode of The Marc and Mandy Show, Lisa Brignell from Take Time Home Cleaning shows Mandy how to create a well organized entranceway.
Stick To The Basics
Though it’s ideal to have a closet or a space for storage in your home’s entryway, that’s not always the case. If you don’t have a designated space for storage built in, consider installing a few basic items: a hanging bar, a shelf or shelves, and some baskets.
Designated Baskets
For small accessories, such as hats, gloves, and scarves, you can use bins or baskets. Consider designating each family member a basket of their own and using transparent baskets for easier access. Don’t forget to label your baskets to help you stay organized in the long run. When certain items of clothing are no longer needed for the season, (for example, winter accessories), stow them away out of sight until you’ll need them again.
Shoe System
Different types of shoes tend to require different types of storage system. For instance, winter boots should be placed on top of an absorbent mat. Other types of shoes can be stored in a hanging shoe organizer or on a shoe shelf.
Wall Hooks
Wall hooks are great for grab-and-go items, such as backpacks, purses, keys, and hats. Consider installing a row or two of hooks to increase the general convenience of your entryway.

I think I have about 10 times more stuff to organize – we need to see a real life closet!
