Make a list
The best way to stay organized when packing is to start off with a list. If you travel often, save the list so you can refer to it in the future. Consult your list when you start packing, when you finish packing, and when you’re leaving your destination to make sure you haven’t forgotten anything.
Roll don’t fold
Rolling your clothes rather than folding them is a great way to save some space. This method will also result in less wrinkles. Rolling keeps the hard lines out of the clothes, making it an effective method for traveling with delicate fabrics.
Pack outfits
When packing clothes, it can be tempting to pack your item by item. A better way to pack is to think in outfits. This way, you’re only bringing the clothes you’ll reasonably end up wearing, rather than a bunch of your favourite items that may not necessary work together.
Bring extra bags
Think: plastic bags, totes, and ziplocks. You never know when you’ll need an extra bag for the beach, for dirty laundry, or to store items that may leak.
