Pear, Prosciutto & Gorgonzola Pizza
If you have a soft spot for pizza, today’s show is for you! In this segment of The Marc and Mandy Show: Cooking On The Road, chefs Devan Rajkumar and Pasquale Ponticiello remake a timeless classic using ingredients that you would never have thought to put on a pizza. The result: absolute deliciousness.
What you’ll need: 1/2 lb pizza dough, 1 red onion (thinly sliced), 1 tsp fresh thyme, 1/2 cup mozzarella, 1/4 cup gorgonzola (crumbled), 2 slices of prosciutto, 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil, 1 tsp vegetable oil, 1 bosc pear, salt and pepper (to taste)
The Recipe:
- Start this recipe off by rolling, kneading, and tossing the pizza dough. Place it on a flat surface with plenty of flour to prevent it from sticking.
- Drizzle olive oil directly onto the surface of the dough.
