Q: What’s your advice for young people who want to work in the entertainment industry?
Alex Hook: Some advice I would give a young person who wants to get into the acting industry is definitely start small. You want to start somewhere, whether that is in your school or your community. That may even mean taking acting lessons! You could also join a local theatre production, which is how I got my start. Of course, it’s a ladder that you’ll need to climb eventually, so always start at the bottom. Over time, you’ll start to realize your strengths and weaknesses and what you like and don’t like. It’s a big learning process!
