Do your research

Appliances tend to be a big expenditure, so it’s important to do your due diligence prior to purchasing. Do your research, compare models, cross-check prices, and make a list of features that are a priority for you. Always avoid impulse buying.

Take measurements

Not only are appliances expensive, but they’re also big. As such, you want to make sure the models you purchase will fit nicely in your space and be proportional. Make sure you’re paying attention to all dimensions, including width, height, and depth. Also don’t forget to account for the swing of doors.

Pay attention to sound

You might not consider the sounds appliances make when shopping around, but you should! Extra noise can be a good thing if it’s a laundry machine that will be located in the basement, for example, but a noisy dishwasher in the kitchen connected to the living room may not.
