Make it a Family Affair

Cabins offer a unique setting to bond with family. To help with the family bonding, bring along board games or plan some activities that will get everyone involved in the fun, such as a scavenger hunt.

Plan Activities

In addition to the self-guided activities you should plan for yourself during the cabin getaway, you should also consider what activities you want to do in the area.

Meal Plan

To avoid wasting cottage time getting groceries or planning meals, take the time to devise a meal plan and grocery list before you head to the cottage. If you’re going with a group, take some time to plan ahead, figure out what you need, and assign groceries or meals to the attendees. 

Cook Together

To avoid having one person stuck in the kitchen your entire cottage trip, have a different attendee head each meal. That person can then be responsible for divvying up specific tasks, such as chopping vegetables or manning the grill.
