Tips for Hiring a Reno Company

Home renovations tend to be time-consuming and costly. With that in mind, you want to make sure you’re getting the job done right the first time. Q: What are the traits of a good renovation company?

Dave Pollock: What makes a good renovation company is proper communication with the customer. Discussing clear budgets with the customer, discussing their vision with the customer, and then bringing interior designers in to help with that if you need it. And basic integrity. Just sticking to what you’re telling the customer that you’re going to do. I’ve seen a lot of contracts from other contractors, and they’re pretty vague. What makes it important is the customer really needs to determine what they’re getting for their money, so the more detail you give to them the more idea of what they’re getting for their dollar. Everybody that we work with is licensed plumbers, electricians, and so forth. The reason being, number one, you’re getting a good quality job, and number two, it’s important for insurance purposes for customers, because a lot of times they can’t get insured for that extra work if they can’t prove that it was done by a licensed contractor.
