Extra High Cabinetry
Since this kitchen is a small space, it’s extra important to utilize the ten-foot ceiling. The designer has done exactly this by installing cabinetry that goes right up to the ceiling. All of the cabinetry are also very discreet, appearing in neutral colors and textures, in an effort to not impede on the space.
No Hardware
In keeping with the clean, minimalistic nature of the decor, is touch-latch technology rather than traditional cabinetry hardware. Steering clear of hardware ensures the clean lines created by the cabinetry and countertop is not interrupted.
Hidden Exhaust Fan
Along the same line as the hidden cabinetry, is the hidden exhaust fan, which is tucked out of the way, as not to impede on the space.
Natural, Class Palette
The color palette selected for this room is warm, earthy, and won’t go out of style any time soon. Sticking to a classic color scheme will ensure your kitchen stands the test of time, style-wise.
Reoccurring Materials
The solid quartz countertop is mimicked on the backsplash, and also holds hint of the color of the millwork. The re occurrence of colors and textures throughout the kitchen lends the space continuity.
Contemporary Features
This kitchen was designed for a young couple, and as such, the designer employed a variety of ultra-contemporary elements, such as the white farmhouse sink and the matte black faucet.
Breakfast Nook
A breakfast nook provides extra seating and seclusion from the rest of the kitchen. It’s perfect to entertain kids, or to convene in with a book and a snack. This breakfast nook also happens to include extra storage and colorful throw pillows and cushions to add a few pops of color.
