Try This Recipe: Vindaloo Chicken
Even the most complex dishes are DIY-able, so long as you have the guidance of a pro! On this episode of The Marc and Mandy Show, Chef Sachit Mehra shows viewers how to make delicious Vindaloo Chicken by Sachit Mehra right at home!
What you’ll need: canola oil, minced garlic or garlic paste, cinnamon sticks, black cardamom, bay leaf, peppercorn, cloves, caramelized onions, chicken, turmeric, paprika, East India Co. Vindaloo Sauce, cilantro, ginger
The recipe:
- Start off by adding canola oil to a hot pan, followed by ginger and garlic.
- Next, add two sticks of cinnamon, one black cardamom pod, a bay leaf, and a little bit of peppercorn and clove.
- To bring sweetness to the dish, add a tablespoon of onion base.
- Give the contents of your pan a good mix.
- Now that you’ve got your chicken base made, you can add in your chicken and brown it. The browning process should take around five to eight minutes.
- Once the chicken is fully cooked, add turmeric and paprika to give the dish color.
- Finally, to add richness, add East India Co. Vindaloo Sauce.
- If you’re finding the sauce to be too thick, add water at this stage.
- To garnish, use cilantro and ginger slices.
