Do your research

Walking into a store without any specifications in mind, in terms of what products or colors you’re looking for, can lead to you feeling overwhelmed or lost in-store. Do your research before you shop–and this can be as simple as perusing social media, finding people with similar skin tones, and seeing what looks good on them/what you like the look of.

Ask for a sample

There was a time when we would test out items in store, but if you’re looking for a more hygienic way to go, consider asking the store for a sample. This way you’ll know exactly what you’re getting, in terms of how the product looks on your skin. 

Ask for help

Not sure what products will suit you or shopping for a special occasion? Ask the beauty expert on hand for a hand. Even if they’re not a beauty professional, chances are, they can give you an object opinion based on what others tend to buy and be happy with.
