Easy Kitchen Renovation Tips
Kitchen renovations are marvelous if you have the time or the money to do it. If budget is the issue, we’ve found some fantastic tips to help you update your kitchen without spending a fortune.
#1- Add Trim to the Drawers
– Just adding trim to your kitchen drawers will instantly give them an added oomph that it may need.
#2- Give Subway Tile a Chance
– Subway tile for your back splash is an easy and inexpensive way to give your kitchen a face lift. Subway tile can be found for as little as 0.39 cents per piece.
#3- Balance Each Splurge with a Budget Buy
– What this means is if you end up making a big renovation or purchase a new appliance, make up on the budget with something that isn’t so expensive. It is important to consider your preferences as well as the long term use and functionality of each item to ensure the money is spent in areas that will have the maximum benefit to you.
#4- Fresh Paint
– Why not paint everything that can be painted in the kitchen? If you had darker colors before, try lighter colors like mauve or a sunny orange to brighten up your place.
#5- Keep What You Have
– Sometimes your stainless steel stove or microwave don’t need to be replaced. Obviously you would replace them if they needed it; but if they have stuck it out with you this far and they still work, keep em! Besides it will save you money for something like that kitchen aid mixer you’ve been hinting to your hubby about.
#6- Add Some Colorful Fabric
– I know this sounds strange but it does work in giving your kitchen a new look. Im sure you have an aunt or artsy friend who would be willing to help you turn the fabric into a valance or accent piece. PS – It doesn’t have to be expensive fabric either. Check out the thrift store, you may be able to repurpose something you love!
#7- Upgrade Your Kitchen’s Light
– Go for a unique color compared to the color of the rest of your kitchen to give the space an extra punch and sharpen up the room as well.
#8- Add some Plants
