Diane Kelm’s Story:
Diane Kelm started Hot Heads to help welders protect themselves from sparks and burns. Hot Headz hats provide comfort by providing a layer of protection between their scalp and the plastic band inside of their welding helmets. They absorb sweat because they’re made from 100 percent cotton and they’re worn backward during welding to protect the neck from sparks. Diane’s father was a welder and he couldn’t find any prints funky enough for him. As such, he had Diane make them. This eventually evolved into the business it is today.
