In this segment of The Marc and Mandy Show, Dana Lefkimmiatis-Ghile from UR Home Service shares with Marc how to make natural cleaning products.
Marc: Everyone is so conscious about using natural home products. And I’m so excited, because we have Dana from UR Home Service and she’s here to talk to us about just that. When it comes to cleaning naturally, especially our floors with kids and pets, what do we need to know?
Dana Lefkimmiatis-Ghile: So, when you’re cleaning naturally it’s super important that you have nothing toxic. So the way we clean floors is straight hot water, one drop of natural dish soap, six drops of lemon and eucalyptus oil, and bob’s your uncle! The advantages are especially for kids and pets. No toxicity. Lemon is a natural antibacterial. And then you wash your floors with that and all of a sudden you have an amazing looking floor. It smells great all over the house and eucalyptus provides an added benefit because it opens up the airways.
Marc: How do we wash stainless steel?
Dana Lefkimmiatis-Ghile: You need just some vinegar and water, just like you would do your windows, in a spray bottle and a cloth. You can clean your stainless and then take one dime of baby oil, rub it in using a lint-free cloth evenly throughout the stainless steel appliance. And guess what, it shines and resists fingerprints for a week.
