Mandy: I’m here with Jessica Keus, an investment advisor with Enhanced Wealth Management. Jessica, what are some mistakes you see people make when they are investing?

Jessica: It’s funny, when we ask about mistakes when it comes to investing, a lot of people are going to say does it have to do with something within the market? And the answer is no. Really, it comes down to the plan and the timing. So, a lot of mistakes we see people making comes down to waiting too long to formulate a plan and possibly missing out on tax-saving strategies. I do a big focus around medium-term goal planning and medium-term goal setting, which really allows the client to you know get to their destination a little bit quicker while keeping retirement and the lifestyle legacy that they want to leave behind afterward. So, you don’t need to know exactly what the plan is – that’s what the conversation with your advisor is supposed to be about. An advisor is supposed to lead you in the right direction and provide the advice as we hit those milestones in our career and our wealth journey.
