Sarah Baeumler: You mean, bribery you get bribery oh it’s called ria
Bryan Baeumler: Yeah, that’s one word for it. Well see, that’s my favorite way to get them involved. But the way you normally have to get them involved is just by yelling and threatening and stomping. We’ve all been there this year, so there’s no sugar-coating it. My best dad survival tip for all the dads out there is to just don’t take yourself too seriously. Make sure your kids you know make sure your kids know that, first and foremost, you love them, you’ll protect them, and after that, that you’re a fun parent.
Gift giving tips for Father’s Day:
- Make it personal. Ask yourself questions like: what kind of lifestyle does dad lead? What are dad’s interests and hobbies? What items do they use that could use replacing or upgrading?
- Get techy with it. These days, there’s no better gift than technology, if you have the budget for it. Does dad work from home? Get him a pair of blue light glasses or an ergonomic chair. Is he a gym buff? Get him a pair of sweat-resistant wireless earbuds.
- Plan an activity. If you can’t think of a physical item that dad might appreciate, you can’t go wrong with a fun activity that you and dad can do together. You can even make a plan that includes the whole family. For instance, plan a hike, a lunch, rock climbing, scavenger hunt, or a family picnic in honor of dad.
