Q: Do you have any tips for increasing my home’s curb appeal?
A: The tops three tips for increasing your home’s curb appeal might actually surprise you!
- The first: add a little bit of lighting to the front of your house. We now know that buyers will park in front of a house, after work, and make a decision on whether or not to buy it. On the off chance this on-site-deliberating is at night, you want to make sure your home’s best features are illuminated–be it a nice, big bay window, or a beautiful red maple tree on your property.
- Second, add some simple seating. A bench, and maybe a small bistro table, near the front door will make the space feel immediately welcoming.
- Third, and most important, make sure your front door is well maintained and impactful. The return on investment (ROI) on a front door is almost 100 percent. The reason: every single buyer must encounter the front door before they go into your house, so it’s important your door makes a great first impression.
