What cottage style do you prefer? Whether it’s nautical, rustic, or glam, you can bet there’s a lighting fixture to suit you and your style preferences. In this episode of The Marc and Mandy Show: Trend Spotting, Designer Christine Da Costa visits Living Lighting to look at some different options for cottage lighting fixtures to suit multiple tastes.
Nautical
If the overall decor of your cottage property is beach-inspired, you might want to consider some nautical touches, which will jive well with your beach theme. For lighting, consider fixtures that are reminiscent of all-things-nautical, such as a wall sconce similar to what you might see in a lighthouse or an industrial floor lamp which mimics a ship’s lighting.
Woodsy/Rustic
If your cottage is surrounded by beautiful foliage or you simply have an appreciation for nature, your design style might be woodsy or rustically-inspired. For this design style, consider lighting fixtures with organic elements, such as elements of wood detailing.
Glam
If your tastes tend to err on glam, consider an ornate, chandelier lighting fixture, which will provide light and luxe in equal parts.
