DIY: Snow Day Crafts
Here at The Marc and Mandy Show, there’s nothing we love more than a good DIY project. In this Do-It-Yourself segment, Mandy and Marc share some great DIY ideas for kids to do when they’re stuck at home on snow days. Check out the video above or keep reading to find out more.
The DIY: Homemade Snow
What you’ll need: baking soda, hair conditioner, mixing bowl, spoon
Details and instructions:
- Combine baking soda and hair conditioner into a mixing bowl
- Use a spoon to mix up the contents of the bowl until you get the consistency you want
- Serve to your kids in a mess-friendly area and let them enjoy
The DIY: Snow Paint
What you’ll need: condiment bottles, water, food coloring
Details and instructions:
- Fill a condiment (squeeze) bottle with water
- Add several drops of food coloring
- Shake the bottle up, fasten the lid, and hand it off to your kids to paint the snow with
The DIY: Snowflake Art
What you’ll need: canvas or paper, snowflake template, glue stick, pencil or marker, table salt, paint and brush
Details and instructions:
- Using the snowflake template, draw out your snowflake design on your paper or canvas
- Next, apply squeeze glue to the snowflake design
- Once you’ve covered all of the lines of your snowflake, sprinkle table salt over your canvas and let it dry
- Once the glue is dry, let the kids paint the colors of their snowflake using craft paint
