Q: What’s the first thing you ask a homeowner when renovating their house?
Mickey Fabbiano: The first question I’d ask a homeowner when renovating is have you done your homework? First of all, what do you want to accomplish, and second of all, what’s your budget, and third of all, are you ready for this?
Q: What kind of budget should I have when buying a house to flip it?
MF: If you’re going to buy a house with the intent to flip, I don’t think you need to have a maximum or minimum budget. In the end, it basically comes down to: are you going to make money or are you going to lose money. So you’re going to have to look into how much you want to spend to get the home in good shape to sell, how much the property is worth, and then how much can flip it for after it’s done.
