He Said She Said: Binge-Watching Ahead
In this episode of The Marc and Mandy Show, Marc and Mandy debate about whether or not you should binge-watch a TV show you’ve been watching with your partner without your partner? Check out the video above to find out Marc and Mandy’s opinions on the matter or keep reading for some tips on binge-watching TV in a healthier way.
Avoid Unhealthy Snacking
There’s little debate that binge-watching tv and binge-eating unhealthy snacks go hand in hand. To break at least one of these habits, stock up on healthier snacks or simply prepare a healthy meal before you start your show. For some healthy snack ideas, think along the lines of frozen grapes, unbuttered popcorn, or diced watermelon.
Take Frequent Breaks
Sitting for prolonged periods of time is bad for your health, but if you’re really into your show, you might be inclined to stay put. If everyone watching is agreeable, consider taking a 5-10 minute break between episodes to get up and stretch or do some form of physical activity, such as yoga or sit-ups, to get your blood moving.
Stay Active During
If you like the idea of exercising to offset the sitting, you can also consider working out while you watch. Exercise machines, such as treadmills, are great for this.
Dim Your Screen
Did you know extended time in front of the TV can lead to premature aging of the face? To offset this, lower your screen’s brightness and ensure you’re leaving ample space between your face and the screen.
