Nutrition Solutions for Seniors
We all have family members who are aging, and we want to make sure that their health needs are being met. In this episode of The Marc and Mandy Show, Mandy chats with Paola Tamang of EZ Meals Delivery Service about the benefits of meal preparation services for seniors.
Mandy: What do you find seniors need the most?
Paola Tamang: Well, more and more seniors are staying independent and living in their own homes, but they are finding meal preparation to be aa challenge. And ultimately what happens is that they will eat less or not healthy/. And as we well know, nutrition is very important for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. We do want to make sure our seniors are getting balanced nutrition and enough food to stay healthy.
Mandy: Absolutely. And I know what aa lot of seniors struggle with is the challenge of cooking for one or two, right?
Paola Tamang: Absolutely. It’s hard enough for singles, and when you’re a senior, you’ve got the heavy pots and pans to deal with. And then there’s the food waste from having to stock your fridge and not using it fast enough. So, definitely a little bit of help in teh food preperation area is needed
Mandy: Tell me a little bit about your product, EZ Meals and what you do for seniors.
Paola Tamang: EZ Meals is a frozen meal delivery service, but what’s different about EZ Meals is it’s specifically targeted for seniors. We have about twenty different meals that are made for the seniors palette to be low sodium. So they get the right amount of food, they’re nutritionally balanced, and it’s very easy to add their own spices and seasonings to it.
