Wedding Photography Tips
Marc and Mandy went on a photo shoot to help decode the art of wedding day photography. Their bubbly photographer Christina Palmer is here to give advice and share helpful tips on quality photo taking.
Tip # 1: Make sure the photographer knows what they are doing. The photographer should be in control of the situation, such as how to position the couple and come up with unique ideas on how to pose them. Clients don’t always know what to do or they don’t feel comfortable right away. Just make sure to have fun. Just be yourself and relax. A good photographer loves to have input from the bride and groom when they offer their ideas as this adds a little bit more of their own flair.
Tip # 2: It is always important to have a focal point in your photography. You can make the groom the focal point and make the bride work around him, and then the bride can become the focal point with the groom working around the bride. That way you get a lot of versatility in your pictures and it makes for an awesome variety of creative shots.
Tip # 3: Use props. It brings out creativity, spontaneity and fun between the couple.
Tip # 4: Bring out the intimacy. Have the couple enjoy each other, being close and intimate, then laughing and having fun.
Many times, we get stressed out on our wedding day and forget what is the priority. The main thing is that we are marrying the person we love and that the most important thing is to have fun and enjoy each other. Christina states that the intimate shots make for the best photos as it portrays two people who love each other.
