Mind the Roof
Remove leaves, twigs and other debris from the gazebo’s roof every two months. The best way to do this is by using a broom instead of a leaf blower, which could damage the gazebo.
Wash it Gently
To wash your gazebo, use warm water, mild soap, and a soft scrub brush. Rinse the gazebo’s roof using a garden hose at least once each year. These steps will prevent staining and scratching.
Inspect for Insects
Check for insect infestations and spiders webs frequently and remove accordingly, using a broom for webs and sprays for other infestations, such as a wasp nest.
Seal and Protect
Apply waterproof sealant to a natural-wood gazebo every two to four years. Paint the sealant on the gazebo’s wood by using a paintbrush. A waterproof sealant will keep your wood strong and defect-free.
