D.I.Y Seashell & Sea Glass Art
D.I.Y Seashell Art as seen on the Marc & Mandy Show
Supplies Needed:
- Seashells
- Picture frame with glass
- Burlap
- Hot glue gun
- Hammer
- Krylon Frosted Glass Finish
- Krylon ColorMaster in Blue
- Paper bag
Instructions:
- Depending on what kind of art you would like to create, pick out different shapes and sizes of shells. Choose shells in your colour scheme or a single colour.
- Take the glass out of the picture frames.
- Cut out burlap squares using the picture frame backing to measure. Leave an extra 1 1/2 inches on each side.
- Cover the front side of the backing with burlap and glue in place with a hot glue gun.
- Create your own sea glass: Using the picture frame glass, frost on one side with Krylon Frosted Glass Finish spray paint. Once dry, flip it over and spray a light coat of blue Krylon ColorMaster. Let it dry.
- Put the glass in a paper bag and break it with a hammer.
- Carefully sort through the glass pieces to choose the ones that work best with your art piece. Discard the rest of the glass pieces safely.
- Glue the seashells and sea glass to the burlap using a hot glue gun to create your art piece.
